Going to the beach can be a ton of fun but for women with extra curves and plus size bathing suits, it can often turn into and emotional train wreck. It's can be extremely hard to walk down to the water basically in your underwear in front of tons of people. The trip from your beach blanket to the water can be enough to make you wanna pack up and head right back home. Don't let your self conscience ways get the best of you and ruin your vacation. There are tons of women out there who feel the same way you do but have learned a few tricks to take their vacation from depressing to down right fantastic. These tips can help you take a confident stroll on to the beach and have a terrific escape.
Get a Base Tan: For those of you who have skin the color of egg shells, you may want to consider getting your self a quick base tan. Tanner skin helps you achieve a toned appearance. There are several ways to do this including tanning beds or self tanners. As a rule of thumb pale skinned women should avoid the tanning beds at all cost so your best option would be to get a professional spray on tan. These are moderately priced and will last for a few weeks. Receiving a professional tan will help you eliminate that orange splotchy look that many at home sunless tanners result in.
Find a Flattering Swim Suit: One of the easiest ways to boost your confidence at the beach is to find a bathing suit that flatters your body and fits well. For plus sized women this often means choosing bathing suits that sculpt and hide body parts you're less than happy with. You can achieve this by selecting bathing suits specifically made with your curves in mind. Look for tankini's that break up your body but still allow you to cover your tummy as well as bathing suits that resemble skirts on the bottom to cover your legs a bit.
Wear a Sarong: A sarong is your best friend on the beach. These lengthy pieces of fabric can be worn as skirts before and after swimming to help fashionably cover your legs and/or mid section. They come in various styles and fabrics so you'll be able to choose one that suits your personality and compliments your bathing suit.
Accessorize: Accessories are a great way to help vamp your beach appearance. Simple things like a floppy hat, cute flip flops and sun glasses may not seem that important but they add to your overall look, drawing attention away from areas your self conscious about. They will make you feel more put together adding to your which will confidence.
Pre-Beach Grooming: Pre-beach grooming is a beach goer essential. Things like shaving or waxing are an absolute must, but the grooming doesn't stop there. Add to your beach look by getting your nails, toe nails, and hair done for the occasion. Once again, this will help you look great and up your confidence for your ocean appearance.
Walk With Confidence: If you present yourself as a confident women people will assume you are. Even the thinnest, well toned girls look less than appealing when they hit the beach and forget their confidence. Looking uncomfortable in your own skin is a red flag for anyone watching. Be confident in who you are and hit the beach with your head up, shoulders back, and a smile on your face! Remember, you are here to have fun and anything less should not be allowed.
Bigger bra's meets the needs of all women by offering quality undergarments in all sizes including plus size swimsuits, and full busted swimsuits

Save Money Every Day By Making A Few Small Changes In Your Daily Life
By Connie Ragen Green
You can save money easily by making a few small changes in your daily life. The money you save can be used for anything you choose, such as saving for your child's college education, investing for your own future or retirement, or just to have a nest egg you use in case of emergency. Here are some ways to save money every single day.
Make your lunch and take it to work with you or to wherever you are going for several hours during the day. Not only will you save money, but you will also have the exact food that you like to eat. It will probably also be healthier than what you would purchase by going out to eat.
Turn off your sprinklers and water your grass every couple of days. This will depend on the time of year and where you live, but you will save quite a bit of money by doing your own watering.
Buy a thermos and bring your own coffee with you. Spending several dollars every day on coffee and other designer beverages does not make sense if you are attempting to save money.
Resist the urge to buy shoes and clothing. Go through your closets and see what you already have before you buy anything new.
Get together with others and trade what you have for what you need. You can do this with friends, family and neighbors. You will be surprised at what kind of trades you can make, making it easier for you to save money.
These are just a few ways to save money. Look for other ways to cut corners and think about your money before you spend it. Also, look for ways to earn extra money, such as by making money online.

Stay at Home Moms vs Working Mom's - The Real Winner
By Janet Brooks
This battle has been taking place since the late 70's and has been heating up for quite sometime.
Of course there are the "professionals" and their studies that point to the advantages of both sides. But let's be real...cite one study and I'll show you one that contradicts it. So who's right and who's wrong?
I'll let you in on a little secret, look in the mirror! The person looking back is the one who's right. Don't ever forget that.
Simply look at this social issue logically. You're the mother, the parent, and if you are part of a relationship, a wife or partner. From the moment your child was born, even though that precious little baby didn't come with an instruction booklet, he or she did come with a gift. The gift comes in the form of the innate sense that you have which tells YOU above anyone else, that you know what is best for your child. Parents, not psychologists, not CEO's, not educators or Phd's with the latest statistics know what your child needs.
Sure, when making a decision you should always perform due diligence. Parents should always weigh in both sides and gather information when contemplating the tough issues that affect their kids. But the good news is, with the advent of the internet and the vast amount of opportunities available to women and men to work from home, this choice may be more black and white than what all of the rhetoric has made out to be.
Remember when we talked about that "innate sense" that you have within you regarding your child? Guess what, no one has it for your baby like you. And your baby has a built in trust that you know just what she needs. Your Nanny or Day Care provider can perform a service and do their job, but your child NEEDs you. No amount of money can buy that built in voice that tells you what your son wants when he cries or what motivates your daughter to learn her alphabet. Mom knows, and she knows best! So stop undermining yourself and your ability to do right by your child.
The good news is, you can have both! You don't have to stop working to stay at home. Now, if you have an infant, then no one would expect you to just charge out there and start a business in between trying to remember your name from the lack of Z's that you've had lately. But when your baby develops a good sleep pattern and you can actually get on some type of schedule, staying home and working from home is a viable solution to this debate between stay at home moms vs. working mom's. And in the long run, the whole family will benefit.
Maybe you have a special skill or hobby that you can draw from to start a business. Perhaps you want to work online, or maybe work out of your home. Many moms are scared because they are afraid that if they give up their career, they will loose out on things like social security or re-entry into the work force when the kids are grown.
Look at the tax advantages of having a home based business, they are pretty appealing. You can also open an individual IRA, check with your financial institution about these types of options. Taking care of yourself means you are also taking care of your family.
Personally, the decision to walk away from an executive level job for my children to become a stay at home mom has not been without it's challenges. But now that they are 13, 11 and 9 I have begun to see the many rewards that came from that choice. Frankly, I can not begin to imagine missing out on their childhood and each and every moment that I could never get back if I would have went "away" to the office every day.
Are you in the process of deciding to be a stay at home mom? then check out these resources to help you make that decision. If you are looking for jobs for stay at home moms here are legitimate ways for moms to make money from home.

Silicone Breast Forms - The Most Popular Shapes for Today's Woman
By Linda Florentine
Silicone Breast Forms have been the breast prosthesis of choice for decades, especially when compared to those that are made of other materials. The main reason for this is the fact that the silicone forms look and feel almost like regular breasts. They can come in regular silicone material or in a lightweight form. Both of these types are molded to fit the tissue perfectly. They can also be made with nipple protrusions to enhance the feel of having real breasts. Silicone forms are available in various shapes. Each shape is made to emulate the drop of normal breasts.
Triangle Silicone Breast Forms
Triangle forms were one of the very first of their kind to enter the market. They are molded after the natural look of breasts in brassieres. This form shape is most popular among women who are considered "mature." If what you are looking for is a form that will look the way your natural breasts used to look before surgery, then it is best to use Triangle Silicone Breast Forms. They are also reputed to have the best fit.
Asymmetrical Forms
The Asymmetrical forms are named as such because the form is molded to fit either the left or the right breast. Unlike the Triangle or the other form shapes that are just central pieces, the asymmetrical breast form comes with flaps on the sides that help it adhere to the tissue on the sides of either breast. This type of form is great for women who have undergone a more extensive tissue evacuation on both sides, meaning that the tissues of the sides of the breasts have also been removed. This design is also helpful in imitating the natural flow of tissue on the sides of the breasts making them more life-like. These silicone forms can be used in pocketed bras or with self adhering straps.
Oval Shaped Silicone Breast Forms
The Oval Shaped form will give you youthful, perky breasts that sit high upon your chest. This type of form will do wonders for your figure. By using the oval shaped form, you'll change the way your body looks even if there was no differentiation between your breasts, waist and stomach before. The oval shaped form will sit higher on your chest giving you just the shapely form that you've been dreaming of.
Tear Drop Shaped Forms
The tear drop shape is one of the most popular form shapes available today. Even women who undergo breast augmentation surgery request this shape. Now it is available as a shape preference for silicone breast forms. Tear drop shaped breasts and forms give a look that says, "I am not so young anymore, but I am not that old either." Tear Drop shaped forms looks great under fitted tees and shirts, too.

By Syd Hs
Women are very vulnerable to violence and crimes specially at night. Even with the world advancing so much, women are still not safe on the streets even in the most developed of nations. This is evident from the huge amount of crimes against women even in countries like USA, UK and other developed nations.
Here are a few tips to help a woman if she has to travel to some place late in the evenings or night:
1. The best things to do for women is to always try and have some company when you are traveling at night. As much as possible avoid venturing out at night by yourself.
2. While traveling in the evenings, aim for well trafficked streets and roads. Try to avoid as much as possible those streets which tend to be deserted or have few travelers.
3. Avoid wearing jewelery when you are out at night. Even fake jewelery might attract chain snatchers.
4. Be extra careful while boarding or getting down a bus, train or while riding on an escalator as pickpockets might usually strike at such times.
5. While walking on sidewalks, keep your handbags and other valuables away from the street sides.
6. If you have to ask for directions, it is better to approach families or women.
7. As soon as you get into your car after you come from shopping, eating or from your office, lock the doors. Don't delay doing this.
8. The elbow seems to be the strongest part of your body. keep this in mind if you ever need to use it and have the opportunity to do so.
9. Don't put off things for evenings and night which you can do during broad daylight like going to the laundry to get your clothes etc. Many women may say that its usually quieter and more peaceful in the evenings, but safety should be the first priority in such cases.

Planning a Girl's Getaway
By Cameron Van
What could be better than a "Mom's Night Out" when a bunch of women friends find a place to get away from everything and just let loose? This is the time to share ideas, commiserate about problems, or laugh for a while without worrying about waking the baby. Not much compares when it comes to recharging the mommy batteries, except maybe a "Girl's Getaway."
The great thing about getaways is that they don't have to elaborate or expensive. It all boils down to the idea that you and your friends get away from the normal routine and spend some time together without ordinary pressures. The less extravagant the outing, the more time you will have to spend together and to reconnect with others that are facing similar issues in life.
Call a hotel or resort and see if they offer group packages. Maybe they have a large suit that could accommodate your group and make the experience one big, long pajama party. You could bring along some ice breakers or other games in case the tempo slows down. But odds are pretty good that you and your pals will find plenty of things to keep your party going.
If you want to do something a bit more different, you could contact the local summer camps in your area. Many of them offer specials during the off season for group outings. You and your group could rent a cabin for a week and spend your time hiking, boating, and enjoying the great outdoors. Some of the camps might even provide programs that you could participate in together.
For those who have the luxury of not worrying about price, find a retreat center that can help each of you find your natural center once again. You can find a place that offers yoga, massage therapy, and many other treatments that will rejuvenate your body and mind.
Justifying the getaway can be easy enough when getting away just won't cut it. Plan a lesson or class for the time you are together. It could be on something as valuable as organization or a whimsical as cake decorating. Give everyone one more excuse for coming together.
The most important thing about planning a "Girl's Getaway" is to plan one. Start with a weekend and work your way up. Maybe it will just be a few in the beginning, but when others hear about your adventures then they will surely want to join in.

Cost Of Wigs And Hairpieces On The Rise
By Susan Rupar
Major wig manufacturers are informing retailers this week that wig costs are about to rise for a variety of reasons. Reasons such as rising costs of production and transport, devaluation of the American dollar, economic changes in Asia and increased global demand are cited as leading causes for the price increases.
Increased labor costs in Asian countries, where many wigs and hairpieces are manufactured are partially to blame, along with the devaluation of the American Dollar. The endless supply of cheap labor in China and India, which helped flood the world market with inexpensive goods, is starting to dry up, said Diane Swonk, chief economist at Mesirow Financial. China's Yuan has been steadily appreciating against the Dollar at a rate of just less than 7% for the year. Faster appreciation in the Yuan is likely to help offset inflationary pressures from a weaker Dollar and rising global commodity prices.
Petroleum, which has been hovering just under $100 a barrel, is also partially to blame for increased costs in the wig industry. Aside from the petroleum used to transport the goods, it is also a major ingredient in the synthetic fibers which are used in the manufacture of many wigs and hairpieces.
Human hair wig and hairpiece prices are also rising, primarily because of an increased global demand driven by a greater acceptance and availability of human hair extensions on the market today. Human hair is considered a commodity and the cost of raw human hair fluctuates as all commodities do through a direct relationship with supply and demand.
On the brighter side, at least for retailers, is the news that human hair products and alternative hair are gaining greater acceptance in the general public. Higher demand translates into higher prices and generates higher revenue at the retail level.

What To Love About Being 40+
By Jo Larsen
Tossing the high heels away if you want to!
You realize you don't have to stuff your feet into another pair of high heels if you don't want to - ever again. Tennis shoes are so much more comfortable! (And it's the first time you've been pain free in years.)
Joy! Yes, Joy!
There's a new depth of bliss as you enter your 40th year that you never thought possible. You take true joy in your children's accomplishments . . . in the ambitions of your friends . . . in the achievements of your husband. You recognize the small joys of life . . and celebrate them lavishly!
The power to say no . . . and not feel guilty.Along with that potent surge of self confidence comes the ability to say no to volunteer projects you have neither the time nor interest in tackling - and not feel a tinge of guilt. It's not that you don't agree with the project or the need, it's just your list of priorities at this point in time doesn't allow for a quality effort - and no one is going to pressure you into doing otherwise.
Self-confidence!
You've already made many mistakes and celebrated many victories. And you've lived through them all. You've survived high school, college, the "entry level" jobs, even the birth of your children and the disapproval of your mother-in-law. And you've survived! But more importantly, once you reach 40 you not only realize that you've survived, but you've flourished as well. Now you can go about living your life confident of your own personal choices and resilient to criticism . . . constructive or otherwise.
Resurfacing of Old Hobbies.
With the children needing less supervision and your job not requiring the exhaustive hours you used to put into it, you've re-discovered some hobbies you used to love. You're taking photographs like you did in your early 20s or painting with water colors. You find that you still love tennis just as much as you did when you were in college - and you still haven't improved that golf swing yet!
Re-inventing yourself.
Stepping out of your mold, reinventing yourself and trying some new hobbies and experiences on for size. Acting in community theatre .... . . writing in a journal . . . or for an on-line magazine . . . learning to knit or to crochet. At 40, it's not only acceptable but chic to re-invent yourself and discover new sparkling facets to your personality.
The bliss of giving.
You're established enough financially that you have even a few extra dollars to donate to a charity that means something to you, or to give to a nonprofit or share with a person in need. If you don't give monetarily you discover you're giving of yourself in the form of time and talents. And you're learning it truly is better to give than to receive.
A new-found spirituality.
You've discovered at age 40 that every living creature in the universe is interdependent. At the subatomic level, in fact, we're made of the same miraculous stuff. And you've discovered a sense of spirituality not connected to any religion or religious dogma. You can unite with the spirit in you own personally satisfying way.
A renewed sense of purpose.
Perhaps you had doubts while raising your family and working every day. But you have finally confirmed the purpose you've been put on this earth. It could be simple or complex. It could be to help merely one other individual or to change the situation for millions. Whatever your purpose, you've rededicated yourself to it!
Wisdom.
Once you reach the age of 40, you've lived long enough to gain a level of wisdom - and you're still young enough to put it into use!

Power Up Your Flasks with Power Busting Juices
By Bradlley Mckoy
Men have the advantage of taking discreet swigs from their flasks during those parties when the drinks have not been served yet. How about the ladies who can't take any alcoholic beverage and don't want to be spoilsports? They can fill an 6-oz. girly flask with their favorite pop soda or juice - and party!
Other Uses for Flasks
If you have been given hip flasks by a co-worker and friend, do not be offended. A tiny decanter is not restricted to alcoholic libations. So smile and make use of that pink leather liquor and brush finish flasks. You can fill it up with your favorite juice and let these ride your bag when you are on the road or at a beach party.
Now that you have enough flasks, you can fill these with power-busting fruit juice and take these along with you your early morning jogs. These will fit in your jogging pant's side pockets and the inside pocket of your jogging jacket. So who says that these containers are a bother to bring along?
If you are taking oral medications, fill your flasks with water. These are much smaller than the bottled water you have to lug with you. These containers fit discreetly in your bag, are water-tight and attractive as well, so it is not a nuisance to take them along.
Or if you've been mixing up fruit juices and want a co-worker to sample your brew, you can bring along an extra flask without the trouble of lugging a thermo jug. The convenience and flexibility of these containers make these handy to take along.
Show off Your Power Juices
For those brain-racking chores at the office, your brain stimulating fruit drink of oranges, hard pears, yam, apples, and grapefruit. Announce to all and sundry that the juice is good for a brain clogged with donuts and coffee. Distribute your flasks to friends and if they can't have enough of the juice, invite them over on the weekend for a juice party.
At the party, arrange the punch bowls and label them accordingly: Spicy Bloody Tomato Juice, Garlic Hot Breath Delight, Carrot Banana Juice, Passion Fruit Juice, Cucumber Delight, and the exotic olive juice. It's a sure thing that those who take along flasks will be able to bring home some of those delightful and power quenchers.
Prepare open-faced sandwiches to go along with the juice sampling. And while they are enjoying themselves, enumerate the benefits of natural fruit juices on the body. Show which juice is a good detoxifier, energy upper, and body soothers.
This could start a small business on the side for you. If they want the drinks available at the office, bring along a bigger container but you can ask them to give you their flasks, which you can fill up with a particular juice to go with their orders.
Good Health from Fruit and Vegetable Juices
It is a known fact that fruit and vegetable juices are recommended for people struggling with obesity and other health problems. Instead of alcohol and coffee, drink more of these juices and feel the difference after a week's treatment.
Vegetables are hard to digest. If these are juiced, you get your daily dose of nutrients because your body can readily absorb these. You get an abundance of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. So for those parties and coffee breaks, take along your flasks filled with nutrition.

Top Four Plastic Surgery Procedures Performed In Los Angeles
By Vladimir Grigoryants
Plastic surgery in Los Angeles is not just for celebrities any more. There is great variety of plastic surgery procedures that a plastic surgeon can offer. When looking at the trends of Los Angeles plastic surgery, it becomes clear that certain procedures are much more popular than other ones.
Breast augmentation using silicone or saline implants is one the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedures. Women who are unhappy with the size of their breasts or would like to restore the breast volume which was lost following pregnancy turn to a plastic surgeon for breast enhancement.
In some women with droopy breasts, in addition to breast augmentation, a breast lift would need to be performed in order to achieve a better shape. Silicone breast implants recently became FDA approved for cosmetic breast augmentation in the United States. Silicone breast implants offer the advantage of a more natural feel and there is less risk in the implant rippling.
A tummy tuck is another commonly performed procedure. Staying in shape and having a flat stomach has been promoted in today's society. Exercise and diet do not always allow for a flat stomach, especially in people who lost weight or in women following pregnancy. These people typically have stretched abdominal skin which can only be removed with surgery. During a tummy tuck loose abdominal muscles are also tightened which further flattens the stomach.
Liposuction is similar to tummy tucks and is also a frequently requested procedure. It can be performed alone or in combination with other procedures such as a tummy tuck. Liposuction will remove areas of fat accumulation such as in flanks, thighs, neck, back, and abdomen.
Rhinoplasty (also referred to as nose reshaping or nose job) concludes the list of most commonly performed procedures. Both men and women turn to a plastic surgeon requesting to improve the shape of the nose. Most commonly, patients complain of a bony hump, wide nose, or droopy tip. Some patients request to improve their breathing. In many patients, rhinoplasty is combined with other procedures such as breast augmentation or liposuction.
As the popularity of plastic surgery is increasing, it becomes very important for any person considering surgery to do research to ensure that your surgeon is skilled and safe.

Plus Size Women - Top 10 Date Wardrobe Essentials
By Janice Wee
Dating?
Wouldn't it be nice to have a wardobe of date-worthy clothes that would really flatter your plus size figure?
Yes, I know he loves you for yourself. He was drawn to your lovely personality in addition to your looks. Then again, it wouldn't hurt to make the most of what you've got and watch his jaw drop when he sees you.
A full wardrobe makeover can be very expensive. Then again, you don't need to fill your wardrobe to the brim with new outfits. All you need is a capsule wardrobe of 10 well chosen pieces (clothes and accessories) for all your dates.
The main thing you should take note of is that every piece should be versatile and can be combined in many ways for many looks.
Interested?
These are my top 10 picks.
1. A fitted dress in a color that flatters you, which hugs you curves.
Go for color. Pick one that makes you look radiant, not sickly. No matter how much you love that outfit, if the color does nothing for you, skip it. Keep in mind that you are building a capsule wardrobe, so pick only items make you look amazing. Avoid loose dresses. They would only make you look fat. Go for one that hugs your curves and nips in your waist.
2. A low cut top in a different color from your dress.
I'm sure there is more than one color that flatters you. Find another color that makes you look amazing and get a sexy top in that shade. That top can go with a myriad of bottoms for many different looks. Invest that gorgeous top that makes you look amazing.
3. A pair of jeans.
Get one cut to fit the plus size woman.
4. 1 long elegant black skirt.
That is a feminine basic that can take you to a concert, a dinner date or anywhere that requires elegant dressing. Avoid anything frilly as frills add volume which is what you would want to avoid. A silk skirt that hugs your curves would be ideal.
5. 1 black dress in a length you are comfortable in, which makes you look amazing. It could have a plunging front if you are proud of your cleavage, or it could show off your back if you have smooth, beautiful skin.
6. 1 faux fur lined leather jacket. That is sleek, chic and utterly gorgeous. Not to mention, warm enough for cold days or nights out.
7. 1 sexy top that shows off your cleavage, or your shoulders. For versatility, make this one in a neutral color which you look great in.
8. 1 pair of sexy high heel shoes. Hey, this is a date wardrobe and high heels make a girl even sexier.
9. A pair of boots. Make these a chic pair and wear them with total confidence.
10. Large cubic zirconia jewelry. Nothing insipid. One large item creates more impact than lots of tiny jewels that disappear on you. Proportion is everything, so make your jewelry plus size as well. You can wear chunky bracelets, chandelier earrings and impressive necklaces much better than your skinny sisters.

Weight Loss for Women - Man, I Can't Stand Showers But Know That If I Don't Take One, I'll Stink
By Linda Robert
Ha! Ha! Got you thinking hey! I take showers daily, especially when I go to the recreation center every day. I've noticed that during July when the center was closed, I didn't walk as much, I ate more and slipped on my health habits. I realized two things.
That I:
depended on somebody else or something else to help me meet my physical goals.
was not truly committed to my physical well being.
One of my biggest challenges was to establish a routine and follow it, while the center was closed. I learned in July that without a routine, I was lost. My emotional, spiritual and physical goals weren't being met and that put me in a bad place. So, if you don't have a routine for whatever reason (unemployment, not enough work, don't feel like having one, kids are moved out etc) you may notice a slight change in your attitude and overall well-being. You have to establish a routine, even if it doesn't start as early as you'd like to at the beginning.
Any time is the perfect time of the year to establish a routine and set goals. It starts in January, when we use the old 'new year's resolution' line. Then in the spring time, we can say that it's part of our new beginning, new buds, new birds, spring fever, new you. We've been taught from a young age that when September arrives every thing goes back to normal or starts again. Summer holidays are over for us and the children and routine starts once again. School is back in full swing, courses at local colleges are being offered, leaves are starting to fall, air is getting crispier, and we're are getting ready for winter.
So pick your start time. When are you going to start your new routine? When will you start your shower and what time will you take it at. And while you're at it, why not think further than the immediate plans; set some short, medium and long-term goals. What better time than now to put some thought into what you'd like to accomplish for the next twelve months. Remember lifestyle changes do not happen until you take one step towards it. It doesn't have to be a giant leap, a frog jump will do, too. And if you know you can't do this on your own, solicit the assistance of someone you know will be supportive to you; a friend, a support group, a coaching group.
In the mean time, think about these questions.
What is my intention? (Write it in a positive way, like you're currently there)
What am I doing now and what am I prepared to do to make my intention happen?
When am I going to initiate this plan? How often am I going to reevaluate this plan?
Who can I talk to that will support my decision and help me reach my goal.
Don't expect a quick fix to change an old habit. This will take time. Use a reward system if you have to at the beginning and when you feel a need. Make the activity fun and enjoyable. Set a timer if need be. For example, I wanted to start writing everyday and walking or biking too. I had a difficult time to get started and to fit it in. Once I finally decided to start writing every day, I would set a timer for one hour. At the end of an hour, (doing great work), I would reward myself with a walk or a bike ride. I also needed to repeat the activity for at least 21 days to try to "starve-off" the stimuli for the old habit that I was trying to break; inactivity. Tell yourself out loud that you're doing great. Yes! One more glass of water down the pipes. Way to go, Linda.. You've done it again... Yahoo!!! I found this very helpful. The little stickers on my mirror helped too. It replaced the "you're a loser" head games that played in my head with new ones.
DO IT, (out loud)... It helps, believe me.
Here's my SHARA plan
S elect when to start: date, time etc. (ex: I will start tomorrow morning)
H abit to begin with (ex: I will start reading an daily affirmation)
A action,, what did you do? (ex: today I read from my daily affirmation)
R results achieved (ex: I felt inspired)
A accomplishment statement (ex: Today I read from my daily affirmation book and felt inspired.)
So how about it? When will you take a shower today? What is truly important to you that needs to be scheduled, in your day or week, or month.

From Crazy To Calm - How to Start Your Day in the Spirit of Peace
By Kimberly T. Hodous
If I home schooled my kids, school probably wouldn't start til noon! We love summer mornings and having no rush to get everyone up and out the door.
It always takes us a few weeks to get the new routine in place once school starts, but once we do, things run pretty smoothly. It's taken me a few years to figure out what our family needed to do to make our mornings calm, and just like all of life - it's the little things that make the biggest difference. Nothing earth shattering here. No scientific research, no surveys, no psychological analysis. Just plain ole common sense and holding yourself and your kids accountable to a few simple ideas that truly will take your mornings from crazy to calm and allow you to start your day in a spirit of peace!
1) Get up Earlier. Ugh....you think. Every minute of sleep counts. (Maybe I should title this one, go to bed earlier J!!) It's amazing what a difference 15 minutes can make. I promise it's worth it! Your entire day will be CALMER if you allow yourself enough time to get ready with ease in the morning.
2) Start off by Just Being.
Each time dawn appears, the mystery is there in its entirety.
* Ren Daumal
If you hit the snooze three times and then hop up and crazily jump into the day - the stage is set one way! On the other hand, if you wake up, take a minute to breathe and get connected - the stage is set another way! I heard someone say once, "If people were meant to pop out of bed, we'd all sleep in toasters!" I always take 10 to 15 minutes to myself in the morning - often to just sit and enjoy my coffee or tea. Sometimes I meditate, sometimes I journal, sometimes I do yoga, but mostly I just be. Allow yourself a few moments to feel the mystery of the day ahead. 'Settle' in the morning, get grounded, get connected and magically everything else in the Universe will rally to your aid!
3) Prepare the Night Before: Going through backpacks and cleaning out lunch boxes is a great thing to do the night before. Then there are no surprises in the morning - papers to sign, school pictures the next day or forgotten worksheets! Another time saver for the night before is to make picking out clothes for the next day part of the bedtime ritual. Having clothes chosen is such a little thing, but it's just one less decision that a sleepy-head has to make in the morning - especially if they're cranky! (I've had a shortage of socks turn an entire morning upside down!) I have to admit I usually don't pack lunches at night. I'd prefer to allow an extra 5 minutes to do it in the morning. That's just me. You figure out what works best for you, so either pack lunches the night before, or make sure you've got a time allotted for it in the morning. Anything you can do the night before to make the morning more CALM is sure to payoff with BIG benefits!
4) No TV. I used to let my kids watch TV in the morning. It's not that I have anything against Sponge Bob, I've got something against the big black box that makes noise in the morning. At first, my kids had a fit. It was so routine to get up and plop in front of the TV with a bowl of cereal. However, the house felt CRAZY, instead of CALM. They really didn't fight very hard when they knew I was serious about no TV in the AM - and it's been one of the single biggest factors in getting us to CALM!
5) Make everyone responsible for their own breakfast. Even my six year old gets his own breakfast. We moved the cereal to the lowest shelf in the pantry and have a special 'milk carton' that we keep on the bottom shelf of the fridge. He loves getting up and making his own breakfast. With a few modifications, your kids can be self-sufficient for breakfast! While they're eating, you can finish getting ready, fixing lunches or getting things to the car. This is also a great way to empower them to take care of themselves!
6) Attitude Check: The biggest factor in your family's morning routine is going to be your attitude. We've all heard the old saying, 'If Momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy!' It goes the same with CALM, - IF MOMMA AIN'T CALM, AIN'T NO ONE GONNA BE CALM! If you're short, snappy and brusque, CALM is going to go right out the window. So set your intention upon rising. Hold a vision of a fun, easy calm exit from the house. Keep your voice quiet and your instructions kind and loving. Believe your family can do it and mornings can be a peaceful time in your household.

* Ren Daumal
Women - How We Disconnect from Who we Are
By Janelle Coulton
Women are genetically programmed to look after everybody - we are the nurturers and the care-givers within society. Women are extremely intuitive; we can sense people's needs even before they do. We know when a friend is hurting. We know when our baby is about to cry. We know when our partner is annoyed. If someone sneezes, we may bless them. If someone is angry we may offer a smile. We do what we can to make everybody happy. Women are extremely supportive of their loved ones and we just love to love.
The problem here is that when we as women make pleasing others our main priority, we do this by sacrificing who we are. We forget to take care of ourselves. We fail to remember that our lives are just as important because we fear our loved ones will resent us if we take time out for ourselves. Our needs tend to come last.
We are trained from the time we are young girls that to be a loving person means to take everyone's feelings into account. No father will ever say to his daughter, as he would his son, "Go out there and kick butt sugar, make them all seem like nothing compared to you." Instead we are told to be kind, to share, to empathize, to apologize, and to forgive. These are good deeds. It would be nice if men would learn more of these actions, and in all fairness some men are extremely adept at performing these behaviours. As women however, we perform these too much. We give when we should insist on receiving. We excuse others when we should state our ultimatum. We ask for forgiveness when we should insist on an apology. When women are performing these behaviours in the examples above; we are not being authentic, we are not speaking our truth and we do not love ourselves enough.
For women, taking time out for ourselves is a matter of psychological and spiritual survival. If we don't do this, we will be sucked dry by everyone and everything that needs us. We need to create time to simply give to ourselves only, and not anyone else. It is a deep act of caring for ourselves as women. To confess the absolute truth - we are not good at this. Women are uncomfortable doing things just for themselves. We feel guilty. We feel as though we are abandoning everyone, and so feel the need to apologize when we take care of ourselves.
The worst thing anyone can ever call a woman is selfish! Most of us would rather be called anything than that. Call us a wimp, a pushover, a coward, a love addict, but don't call us selfish. Selfish means we are not taking care of our loved ones needs. Selfish means we only care for ourselves and selfish means we are not women.
When we are constantly giving to our families, partners, friends and the like, these people in our life have most likely come to depend on us. They have been accustomed to receiving our free advice, emotional support, home cooked dinners, clean clothes and so on and so forth. Therefore these people will not like it very much when we as women decided to take time out for ourselves. They may express their discontentment or become irritated and grumpy. Ignore them. They will get used to our special private moments and come to understand and respect our needs and wants.
A few years ago, I made a big change in my life when I ended an unhappy relationship. I stopped socializing and spent most of my free time focusing on my daughter and my work, study and my writing. It was a time in my life where I needed to be myself and find out who I was. I felt very selfish saying no to people, but this experience also taught me how to be assertive and learn to say no. I'm sure I upset a few people during this time as I was not as easily available to people as I was before. No-one has actually come to me and said "You selfish bitch!" "How dare you take time out for yourself!" But, I felt like people were thinking it. So, how do I feel about it? Absolutely wonderful. That time that I spent on my own self development and with my daughter would have to be one of the most wonderful gifts I have ever given myself.
Today as I am writing this article, I am in a position where I am totally alone, as my daughter has left home. I have a wonderful, special man in my life, but he lives a long way from me. Being alone does not bother me, as I know things are going along as they are meant to. I am quite content to use the time I have to do things I have always wanted to do, like write a book, apply for jobs where my partner lives and plan my move there. I am not focusing on any outcomes, just moving slowly towards what I want in life. Nevertheless, if things were different and I was living with my partner and daughter, I would take time out for me. I would take care of myself and my personal needs, as this is something that is really important to me. Women need to tell their loved ones what it is they need and if they're loved ones don't like it, eventually they will come around. My partner is always telling me to look after myself, do what makes me happy and to stop worrying about everyone else. I whole-heartedly agree with him and I suggest that all women out there do the same.

Hair Extensions - The New You
By Helen Cox
We all feel like a change once in a while when it comes to our hair, whether you want a new cut, colour or shape we all experiment with our hair at some point in our life. If you are looking for a new style why not consider hair extensions?
Many people are under the impression that hair extensions are just used by people who want instant long hair. To an extent this can be true; hair extensions are still mainly used by people who want added length to their hair whilst they are waiting for their natural hair to catch up. However in recent times the use of hair extensions has grown more popular for a variety of reasons. People are now wearing hair extensions for different reasons. Hair extensions can make hair look fuller and longer. If your hair is really fine, scattered extensions, which are cut into your style, will give your hair fantastic volume. You can add layers to give the hair a natural look whilst making it fuller. Hair Extensions can also be used to add colour to your hair.
If you want to dramatically change the colour of your hair or just sections of it but are scared of the results; what if it goes wrong? What if the colour doesn't take over your natural colour? Or what if you don't like it? Well extensions are the perfect way to solve these worries as they give you the change you want without having to do anything to your actual hair and if the colour doesn't suit you then the extensions can simply be removed. So whether you want hi-lights or lo-lights, hair extensions could work for you.
Hair extensions are not only used to change your look. They may be the answer to problems that are out of your control such as hair thinning and other hair/scalp conditions. In this case hair extensions can be used to disguise the problem and give the wearer added confidence about their looks.
There are several ways in which hair extensions can be applied, depending on the type of hair extensions you want, your hair condition and the amount of money you have to spend. When you visit your salon for your hair extensions the stylist will talk you through all aspects of applying the extensions and which method is best for you.
When it comes to the aftercare of your hair extensions it is advised that you only use the products that are recommended to you by your stylist. You should also go for regular hair check ups at the salon; these check-ups usually come as part of your after-care service with your hair extensions.
You can wash and style your extensions in the same way as your normal hair. You can use blow dryers, straighteners or curling tongs, depending on your hair care routine. The maintenance of your hair extensions will be slightly higher than that of your normal hair but the results that you will see are defiantly worth it.
A lot of people worry as to whether hair extensions will suit them but this is what your consultation time is for. A good stylist should be able to advise you on the best way to wear your hair extensions, taking into consideration the length, volume and colour.
If you are considering hair extensions you should visit your salon and book a consultation so that you get the very best you can out of your extensions.

Sexy Swimwear - It's Never Too Early To Think About The Summer!
By Amanda Cotterill
It's never too early to start thinking about sexy swimwear and fitting into that string bikini. With all of the stylish options for summer wear flying off the shelves just in time for the holidays, you can start getting ready now and start preparing to look your best on the beaches in the summer heat.
Seriously though, if you want a bargain on swimsuits your best bet is to buy during the off season. Starting now gives you more options to choose from before the big rush of summer shoppers. At one time, you could only buy swimsuits during the summer, unless you lived in a tourist town in one of the warmer climes where swimwear is available all year 'round. The internet now provides you with the means for buying bikinis all through the year.
The first decision you have to make is what kind of suit you want. In order for a swimsuit to look good on you, you have to choose one that fits your body type. Face it, swimsuits have become progressively more revealing as the years have gone on. There are many men who find the full coverage of a bikini from the 70s far more attractive than the dental floss G-strings and thong bikinis we see today. And this isn't reserved for men alone, either. We've seen plenty of men who have no business wearing a thong or a Speedo.
It's not impossible to find a swimsuit that makes you look sexy and classy, regardless of your current level of fitness. When searching out the perfect swimsuit, forget what looks good on the models and mannequins and concentrate on what looks good on you. Finding the right size will make the swimsuit you choose flattering to your body type. Too many women refuse to admit they wear the size they do and they'll buy swimsuits too small with the hope that by the time they need to wear it, they'll have lost the weight and miraculously have attained the perfect body. Be realistic, it's not going to happen, ladies.
Shopping for bikinis and swimwear is a matter of having an open mind and being ready for a wide variety of possibilities. Don't be afraid to have a sense of adventure and take on a new challenge when it comes to getting ready for summer. Try on a swimsuit you would never ordinarily wear or check the reactions when you slide into a sexy string bikini for your best guy friend. It can take months to find the perfect swimsuit, of course, but with a little doggedness and some patience, you'll be looking wonderful for summer.
One thing to keep in mind in terms of sexy swimwear is that confidence is the key to it all. Looking great in a swimsuit has very little to do with the actual swimsuit and a whole lot to do with how confident the person looks in it. A self-assured young woman could put duck-shaped water wings over as the next hot thing for summer if she had the right strut, so keep that in mind when rifling through the swimsuit collection. Get something that works right for you and you alone.
